"The Plaka, 'the neighbourhood of the Gods' as old Athenians used to call it, is located in the shadow of the holy rock of the Acropolis, where picturesque narrow streets and beautiful houses make this the most wonderful place in Athens.Here the old traditional taverna .......has welcomed celebrities and common people alike since 1864. Nostalgic memories from the past abound in wooden picture frames displayed along with proverbs and mottos of famous writers, as well as golden awards for the quality of the food and wine. The interior of the taverna is cosy. It's specialilty dish is well-known and famous: deep fried cod fish. ...
