Atlantans, especially Buckhead residents, recognize Buckhead Life Restaurant Group's Atlanta Fish Market by the 65-foot copper fish out front, constructed in 1995. If the fish and all its 600 scales could stand up straight, it would span 100 feet and weigh 50 tons. Next to the whale-sized sculpture is the brick building that houses the restaurant, based on a 1920s Savannah train station. Enter through the antique,  revolving wooden door onto hardwood floors under large booths and tables, art deco light fixtures, a sushi bar and soaring ceilings. Seafood, steak and chops make up most of the menu that is usually printed twice daily to update the fresh fish choices. Appetizers include sushi rolls, batter-fried lobster tail and a calamari and smoked salmon quesadilla. For your entrée, try saffron cream mussels with spinach and either fries or pasta on the side. The Boston sole prepared meunière style is excellent as well, while the catch of the day can include swordfish, salmon, tuna, Chilean sea bass or Gulf mahi mahi. Relax and catch up on your televised sporting events in the Geechee Crab lounge.

"Seek out the lump crab cake or pecan-crusted swordfish, but if you can't make up your mind, fall back on the kind of fried platter you might find at Red Lobster, only here prepared to perfection."
- Creative Loafing Kids' menu. Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
