Chef-owner Kevin Williamson's Ranch 616 serves eclectic entrees such as Quail Nest: sugar-cured whole grilled quail stuffed with beef picadillo.
From the restaurant:
"The restaurant's Gulf oysters were named 'The Best Oysters in the South' by
Southern Living magazine and rattlesnake is served four times a year. The combination of food at Ranch 616 is a blend rarely found anywhere else. Along with the leading cuts of Texas beef and chicken, whole fresh fish such as flounder, tilapia and trout, and Texas Gulf shrimp and oysters are served daily. The chefs at Ranch 616 do not waste their starches on a typical steak and potato dish. On the menu you will find such combinations as a cut of meat served with a side of enchilada or tamale."
Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly.
"Ranch 616 is Texas diner-gone-designer with shiny black booths, a leather bar and funky Southwestern art. The permanent menu and eclectic nightly specials reflect the background of talented owner-chef Kevin Williamson, who grew up in south Texas enjoying fishing, game hunting and cooking home-style food."
