San Sushi Too and Thai One On

ADDRESS: 10 W Pennsylvania Ave, Towson, MD 21204

CUISINE: Japanese/Sushi, Thai, Asian Fusion

FEATURES: Full Bar, Handicap Access, Kid Friendly, Smoke Free, Vegetarian Friendly

DETAILS

Tucked away in Towson, Thai One On shares space with Japanese restaurant San Sushi Too, making it a good compromise for crowds with different cravings. One dining room is decorated in deep red, reflecting rich Thai décor, while the other features more whimsical Japanese touches, including colorful murals and waitresses in kimonos. Luckily, patrons can order from either menu no matter where they choose to sit. The sushi is excellent, but the Thai offerings consistently win raves from locals. Start by sampling the thom kha kai, a smoky chicken soup made with coconut milk, then move on to specialties such as goong ma now (a spicy shrimp marinated in lime), drunken noodles or Bangkok mussels. The Thai staple pad thai is memorable as well. Try sticky rice with mango or sweet black rice with young coconut for dessert.

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. "Authentic Thai flavors and plenty of spicy heat distinguish the kitchen at Thai One On."
