Best Mediterranean

When opening their place in 1993, brothers/owners "Big Andy" and Majed Hajjar intended to sell only a variety of Mediterranean canned goods, snacks and sandwiches in their market. After evolving into the full-service restaurant that it is today, Andy’s Mediterranean Grille still offers sandwiches such as the specialty turkey and tabouli, but now diners are more likely to order something from the grill. The sunny, wood-paneled dining room and cheery outdoor patio make for cozy lunch and dinner nooks. Start with fattoush salad, grape leaves, hummus with tahini, moist and mildly spicy falafel, baba ghanoush or red lentil soup with a hint of citrus. Move on to shawarma (marinated chicken with tahini, tomato, pickle, parsley and garlic) or kafta (charbroiled ground beef with parsley, onion, tomato and hummus).

"Chicken Hajjar — a tender, charbroiled chicken breast marinated with Andy's secret seasonings — is a menu favorite. For those with bigger appetites, try the Farrouj (half of a rotisserie-grilled chicken) or Andy's 1-pound steak. "
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Belly dancing Fri–Sat nights. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Sat, dinner nightly.
