Surin West and Surin of Thailand each serve traditional Thai cuisine along with other delights from the Pacific Rim, including sushi and sashimi, curries and stir-fries. The house-specialty spring rolls with basil are often the way to start — that is, if you’re not already sampling the enormously popular Crab Angels, crunchy won tons filled with crabmeat. Don’t miss the catfish special entrée with a Thai ginger sauce and ginger lime beans or the house-made soups such as the chicken coconut or spicy seafood. An unusually large dessert menu features such treats as the seven-layer bar (coconut, semi-sweet chocolate chips and rich fudge in a crispy crust), various cheesecakes and unique ice creams.  Wash down your meal with some cool Thai iced tea, or indulge in one of the specialty martinis from the full bar. There’s also a nice wine selection (including the traditional plum wine), sake and Japanese beer.

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
