DETAILS

Home to two Buffalo specialties, frozen custard and beef on weck sandwiches, Anderson’s Custard got its start in New York City in 1946. By 1947, homesick founders Carl and Greta Anderson had moved their custard stand to Buffalo, where it became a beloved local franchise. The hearty side of the menu features the savory local tradition of roast beef on a kummelweck roll. Then there’s the custard — a sublime soft-serve concoction with a silky egg-rich base that’s sold by the cone or dish or used in sundaes and banana splits. Special flavors are produced daily to supplement the regular varieties on the menu.

No alcohol available. Serving during lunch and dinner hours daily. "... I’ll have to say, Anderson’s has a particularly creamy and delicious custard going on, with a rather pleasant texture."
