Located alongside the luxurious downtown Hyatt Regency but independently owned and operated, E.B. Green’s Steakhouse is consistently ranked high on Texas-based Tom Horan’s America’s Top Ten Club list of the top 10 steak houses in America. As for the menu, start with lobster bisque, bacon-wrapped scallops and a basket of the cinnamon-and-sugary house specialty, Monkey Bread. Expect the usual steak house à la carte sides (creamed spinach and sautéed mushrooms) to accompany a remarkably varied selection of entrées. Although dominated by steaks such as prime rib, porterhouse and Kansas City strip, the menu also includes rack of lamb, pan-seared chicken and seafood offerings such as lobster tails, pan-seared oysters and sea bass. Desserts include molten chocolate cake and lemon meringue pie. "You walk into the restaurant and have this immediate thought of 'what
decade am I in?' I don’t mean that as any type of insult, but the look
and feel of E.B. Green’s feels like it hasn’t been changed in 30+
years."
