Founding Fathers Pub

75 Edward St
Buffalo, NY 14202

Average Cost: $

Phone: 716-855-8944

Categories: Sandwiches, Burgers, Late-Night Dining, Pub Food

Features: Full Bar, Handicap Access, Smoke Free, Vegetarian Friendly

Often considered Buffalo’s best neighborhood pub, Founding Fathers Pub takes its name to heart. Presidential bric-a-brac of all sorts — from oil paintings and old magazine covers to place mats — adorn nearly every nook and cranny. Owner Michael Driscoll often holds court over trivia contests from the long gleaming wood bar, a regular hangout for politicos and the otherwise culturally aware. The kitchen lacks fryers, but fortunately the grill cranks out some of the best cheeseburgers in the Buffalo area. Grilled ham and cheese and pastrami sandwiches are also recommended, as is the tortellini salad.

Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner and late-night Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.

"The mood is generally really chill, and it’s definitely unique and filled with a lot of history and for that (as well as the free nachos), its one of my favorite places to drink in Buffalo."
