Dinners at Gaulart & Maliclet French Cafe, a local favorite since 1984, can include escargots and shrimp toast as appetizers and Seafood Normandy as an entree.

From Charleston City Paper:
"G&M/Fast and French is a rarity among French restaurants with its simple and inexpensive meals. You'll find escargot on the menu, but you won't see any duck a l'orange. Like a fancier version of a diner counter, long rows of tables fill the narrow space, and patrons are seated on stools in a family-style. The menu isn't very complex; breakfast includes plenty of croissants, lunch features sandwiches and salads, and dinner has a few entrees."

"This great-value favorite is an ideal spot to indulge that sweet tooth with a smorgasbord of desserts and a French-pressed café crème, served with a scoop of ice cream in place of heavy cream."

- Southern Living

Beer and wine available. Serving breakfast and lunch Mon-Sat, dinner Tue-Sat. Closed Sun.
