DETAILS

One of Charlotte's very favorite brunch spots, Lulu favorites include Creme Brulee French Toast, Eggs Florentine, and Greens, Eggs & Ham Frittata.

Beer and wine available. Serving lunch Mon-Fri, dinner nightly. Sat brunch 11 am-3 pm, Sun brunch 10 am-3 pm. From Tricia Childress, Creative Loafing:
"Lulu's menu is typical of a bistro a real bistro, that is, not a place that attaches the word bistro to the name but is really a chef-driven restaurant. This is a small neighborhood joint offering good comfort food at a modest price, considering the quality of ingredients. ... Charlotte needs these small, humble places and could probably stand to have 20 more scattered around town."

"Marc Jacksina and Fabrice DiNonno have done fine work with this old house. Inside, it's warm, inviting, and can feel like you're attending a convivial dinner party, with the effusive DiNonno as host. Jacksina handles the kitchen, and he applies a sense of humor (Duck Duck Jus) and international flair to trumped-up Southern cuisine."
