A sister restaurant to Johnny's Bar and Johnny's Little Bar, Johnny's Downtown in the busy Warehouse District features a similar menu of northern Italian and American contemporary fare in upscale surroundings. In addition to powerbrokers and the trendy bar crowd that congregates, celebrity sightings are not uncommon as Cleveland sports stars (Browns, Indians and Cavaliers) and other local celebrities have been spotted here. Appetizers include escargot and caviar, while massive portions of house-made pastas, surf and turf combinations, and steak and veal chops (often served with a signature demiglace) will satisfy the heartiest appetites. Live piano music resonates throughout the elegant dining room, which is adorned with six hand-painted murals.
