Opulently housed inside the historic Renaissance Cleveland Hotel and overlooking Public Square, Sans Souci restaurant has been a top choice for business lunches and special-occasion dinners since its 1992 opening. The seafood-intensive, Mediterranean-inspired menu features well-prepared specialties such as angel hair pasta in lobster sauce and perhaps the city's finest rendition of bouillabaisse. Starters may include sautéed calamari, tuna tartare and garmugia, a traditional Tuscan vegetable soup with ground veal. Entrée options may include wood-grilled salmon, pan-roasted sea bass or veal osso bucco. Look for seasonal menu changes.

"It's one of the city's best-kept secrets for Southern French and Mediterranean-inspired cooking, and the food lives up to the surroundings."
