DETAILS

From the restaurant's website:"Hello, my name is Tim Duncan, owner of Betty's Parkway Restaurant, and for years people have been trying to figure out what makes our steaks so tender and so delicious. The secret is a recipe left behind by my mother, Betty. Betty started Betty's Parkway Restaurant in 1987 using her experience in the kitchen. She set out to come up with an item that would get customers in the door at the restaurant, so she stumbled on to this recipe of hers and changed a few things and what she came up with is a marinade that will tenderize any type meat and a flavor that is so delicious that you can't seem to get enough of it. Then she decided she would offer something at that time no one else in town offered... a 20 ounce steak with the fatty tail trimmed off, for a finished product that weighed 16 ounces. But she did not stop there. Then she put these steaks in a bucket of the marinade that she had come up with and discovered an item that did draw the crowd. Business has grown ever since. On July 29, 1989 my mother passed away in her sleep and left behind a lot of decisions for me to make. One of them was, do I continue the business or do I continue to work construction? Being her only heir I decided to continue the business and it is still growing today."

Beer available. Serving lunch Tue-Sun, dinner nightly.
