Cuban food standout Cafe Habana features main dishes such as ropa vieja, carna asada and sugar cane-skewered shrimp.
From Molly Abraham, The Detroit News:"The
first Cuban restaurant in the metro area offers an a menu of
Cuban-influenced rather than strictly authentic dishes. They range from
the Cuban sandwich, a press-grilled blend of roast pork, ham, Swiss
cheese and pickles on specially made Cuban bread, mango and jicam salad,
fired plantains, grilled sweet corn, ropa vieja (shredded beef in spicy
tomato sauce over yellow rice) and cornmeal cakes stuffed with goat
cheese, avocado and tomatoes."
Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner until late night daily. Sat-Sun brunch 9 am-4 pm.
"Café
Habana offers excellent, reasonably priced Cuban cuisine in a fun,
funky-chic setting, along with Latin music and a full bar, in downtown
Royal Oak's ever-expanding restaurant hub."- Elissa Karg,
