Stuffed grape leaves, stuffed cabbage, and hummus with sauteed chicken are among the Middle Eastern specialties at Sameer Eid's renovated Phoenicia.
From the restaurant's website:
"The Phoenicia Restaurant was first
opened in Highland Park, Michigan in 1971. After a long successful run
in Highland Park, owner Sameer Eid decided it was time to move his
flourishing business to the up and coming city of Birmingham, Michigan.
Sameer has continued to work extra hard to ensure that the Phoenicia
always offers excellent cuisine, that leaves his clientele wanting
more."
"Nothing remains from the "old" Phoenicia, which underwent its first renovation 10 years ago. Now the space seating 95 at linen-covered tables and at the marble-topped bar is in a subtle color palette of charcoal gray, white and sand, from the elegant fabric-covered banquettes to the glassed-in wine room in one corner, with no extraneous frou-frou."

Full bar. Serving lunch Mon-Fri, dinner nightly.
