Since 1926, a modest, white building with a blue sign has been welcoming early morning locals in need of a strong cup of coffee to start the day. Paris Coffee Shop owner Mike Smith arrives before sunrise to make his signature pies: Try the apple, the coconut meringue or the top-selling chocolate meringue. In addition to the coffee and pie, the little diner is beloved for its down-home breakfasts. Sit down at a chair, booth or bar stool and chat with the regulars while browsing through the table side, wall-hung menu. Recommended items include traditional favorites such as: bacon and eggs served with hash browns, biscuits and gravy; syrup-smothered pancakes; smoked sausage; cheese grits; and ham steak with red-eye gravy. Beyond breakfast foods, Paris Coffee Shop offers burgers, meat loaf, and daily blue plate specials with meats and vegetables. After dining, best to pay promptly at the register, since there's usually a lengthy line of people waiting during both breakfast and lunch.
No alcohol available. Serving breakfast Mon–Sat, lunch Mon–Fri. Closed Sun.
