Billed as the area's only rotating sushi bar, the unassuming Cool Springs-area restaurant Bodeli Sushi features the Japanese-originated dining option called kaitenzushi
, also known as "conveyor belt sushi." The prepared sashimi and rolls travel around the U-shaped sushi bar and booths, with rotations carefully watched and calculated by the staff to ensure that each plate is at its prime. Before hitting the conveyor belt, the sushi is placed on a plate with a color-coded rim (according to price) and then topped with a clear plastic dome. The helpful waitstaff will explain dishes and point out their favorites, including the Strawberry Roll (shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, strawberries and a sweet sauce drizzled on top) and the Franklin Roll (avocado, cucumber and spicy crab).
