An Italian dining destination just outside of downtown, Damian's Cucina continues its reputation as one of the finest Italian restaurants in town. The revamped dining room is adorned with white tablecloths, new windows, pastoral murals and the obligatory shelves of Pellegrino, wine bottles and vases. Chef Napoleon Palacios's Northern Italian-influenced menu redefines the word "extensive" with countless antipasta, chops, pastas and seafood dishes making up the list. Entrées range from basics such as spaghetti carbonara and lasagna Bolognese to pork shoulder osso bucco, veal Milanese (stuffed with fontina, mushrooms and prosciutto in a Marsala sauce) and grilled sea bass topped with crab meat and a white wine sauce. If you're feeling particularly saucy, you can eat a six-course meal at the chef's table, where you're encouraged to interact with the chef and even the line cooks if you so choose. As if feeding you extremely well wasn't enough, Damian's also runs a free shuttle to and from nearby theaters.
Upscale casual attire required. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
