Best Greek

Since 1977, Niko Niko's has been a popular place in the heart of Montrose for inexpensive, satisfying and unpretentious Greek and Gulf Coast favorites. Comfortable and rather nice after a recent remodeling, it's more popular than ever, crowded even before and after regular lunch and dinner hours. The large number of regular patrons finds all the well-known Greek dishes and more on the expansive menu, including Greek salads, tabouli, gyros, spanakopita (spinach pies), souvlaki (marinated grilled beef), dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), pastichio (Greek-style lasagna) and lamb. There are also several broiled and fried seafood plates, New Orleans-style seafood Po-boys, a very good Mediterranean-style hamburger, vegetarian dishes, and enough desserts to satisfy almost any sweet tooth.

Kids' menu. Beer and wine available. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

"It’s hard not to like everything on the extensive and authentic Greek menu. The gyros and lamb shank are legendary."
