You’ll be able to spot Bistro Aix (pronounced as the letter "x") executive chef and managing partner Tom Gray by his signature black beret, the perfect cranial accoutrement to wear in this expert rendition of a bustling bistro in the south of France. The Jacksonville native, a Culinary Institute of America grad, joined with partners in 1999 to open this attractive and hugely popular eatery in the historic San Marco district. The French- and Mediterranean-dominated cuisine includes classic bistro options such as mussels, wood-fired pizzas and steak frites. The oak-fired fish "Aixoise" is a local favorite. Finish with lemon coconut cake and, voilà!

Kids' menu. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly.
