From the restaurant's website:
"Owner and proprietor Todd Lineberry brings his 20-plus years of restaurant management experience to this unique barbeque concept that's anything but typical. Wanting to offer an experience to the area that answered the local obsession with real good barbeque, and equally matched his own passion for the Southern classic cooking method, Todd created the original Mojo BBQ as a "Southern Blues Kitchen", focusing on offering unbelievable food in a laid back, down home, one of a kind atmosphere. Three and a half years later, in December 2006, the idea expanded into one of the beaches most talked about hot spots, Mojo Kitchen, BBQ Pit and Blues Bar."

"Jacksonville loves its barbeque, and there are certainly plenty of barbeque joints to choose from. Mojo Barbeque is local choice outside the chains."
- Erin Thursby, EU Jacksonville
