Bristol Bar & Grille

Average Cost: $$

Phone: 812-218-1995

Categories: American Traditional , Brunch , Burgers , Bar & Grill

Features: Full Bar , Handicap Access , Kid Friendly , Patio Seating , Smoke Free , Vegetarian Friendly

With several Louisville-area locations, Bristol Bar & Grille is known by some for its green chili won tons appetizer (deep-fried, golden won tons filled with creamy jack cheese, chilis and jalapeños, served with cooling guacamole), but you’ll find plenty to enjoy for the rest of your meal. The original Bristol location opened in 1977 on Bardstown Road, helping launch the road (now widely known as Restaurant Row) as a prime restaurant location. Menus at the locations may vary, as each chef offers signature dishes, but a handful of "Bristol Classics" are available at all sites. Those include the Bristol Burger on a toasted English muffin, the Filet Mandarin (marinated in soy, honey, garlic, ginger and Mandarin liqueur) and the steak au poivre, encrusted with peppercorns and pan-seared in a cognac sauce. A very popular Sunday brunch buffet includes breakfast standards, waffles, fried chicken and beef carving stations.

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Sun brunch 9:30 am–2 pm.
