When British brothers Chris and Nick O'Sullivan originally announced
that they wanted to do barbecue in Denver, locals scoffed. What could
two Brits know about such a deep-rooted American tradition? But the
siblings went on a quest, working in barbecue restaurants and sampling
barbecue from one end of the country to the other. They took what they
learned and opened the excellent Brothers BBQ, now with many locations
featuring their simple formula of a couple of well-blended sauces and
several smoked meats. The best deal might be the bargain-priced meat
pack, which feeds four comfortably. The pack includes two kinds of meat
totaling a pound (try the pulled pork and the tender beef brisket), two
sides (you can't go wrong with the spicy beans and the creamy potato
salad) and four buns and sauces. Check out the thick-cut, skin-on fries,
too.
Beer available. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
"[Brothers] serves up a consistently good platter of pulled pork, hot
links and ribs, doused in sweet-spicy sauce and sided with such barbecue
staples as potato salad and baked beans that take us right back to
Fourth of July picnics of yesteryear."
