Pierogies Plus

Average Cost: $

Phone: 412-331-2224

Categories: Polish , Deli , Takeout/Gourmet Takeout

Features:

Pleasing pierogies, an Eastern European staple, come in any number of varieties at Pierogies Plus, including potato and cheese, sauerkraut and potato, cottage cheese and chives, beef and hot sausage.

From the restaurant's website:

"Our pierogies are prepared in the Polish tradition by Eastern Europeans. If you want more authentic pierogies, you'll have to fly to Warsaw or Krakow. They just don't come any tastier than ours. If it's been too long since you've had pierogies like Grandma used to make, you've come to the right place: Pierogies Plus."

"No matter what you order, the pierogies are superb. They are larger than is typical and come bathed in a pool of butter and finely cut onions. These pierogies are soft enough to be easily cut with plastic forks. The sauerkraut pierogie, to my taste, is best as the sauerkraut blends with the butter and dough for an especially delicious combination."

- Cliff Strutz, Roadfood.com No alcohol available. Serving lunch and early dinner 11 am-6 pm Mon, 11 am-7 pm Tue-Fri. Closed Sat-Sun.
