"The chef and owner Mariano Vera spent seven years in Montreal and brought to this kitchen its freshness and cleanliness standards. He serves, and conquers the diners in this small place that is close to the Cloister of Sor Juana. Simple flavors, emphasizing the basic elements of hibiscus vinaigrettes rich and others, Mariano offers a daily menu with ceviche, soups, salads, pastas and arrachera.  How to get there: Isabel la Católica. Leave the car in the parking lot next to Regina, and use the pedestrian."

"This hip mezcalería is on the first floor of a renovated tenement. Shots of potent mezcal come with a piquant chaser: orange slices dusted in ground grasshoppers. For a light appetizer, try the tasty seafood pescadillas."
