Shahrazad, a Middle Eastern and Persian restaurant at the edge of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, is so veggie-friendly that there's a separate meatless menu. You know and love the usual suspects - hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, lentil dishes, rice, couscous, spinach pie. Nothing too new, but all good, all the time. There's fresh lentil soup daily, and plenty of people in the UWM 'hood stop by just for that. Meat eaters can order shawarma, grilled lamb and kabobs. A sit-down restaurant, with slightly higher prices than other Middle Eastern joints, it's better than your average kabob shop.
Full bar. Serving lunch buffet Tue-Sun, dinner nightly.
