3 Crow Bar

615-262-3345  •  $
ADDRESS: 1020-1024 Woodland St , Nashville, TN 37206

CUISINE: Late-Night Dining, Pub Food, Burgers, Sandwiches, Wings

FEATURES: Full Bar, Handicap Access, Patio Seating, Vegetarian Friendly, Smoke Free, Wi-Fi, Pet Friendly

DETAILS
East Nashville's Five Points area, intersecting at Woodland and 11th Street, didn't used to be so hip and happening. Then Mike Grimes and David Gehrke took over a corner dive bar called Shirley's at 1024 Woodland in 2000 and transformed it into a trend-setting live music nightclub called Slow Bar. Red Door Saloon proprietor Ric Clarke and others took over Slow Bar a few years later and have transformed it once again into a neighborhood tavern called 3 Crow Bar. 3 Crow pretty much sets the tone for nightlife in Five Points. Snag a prime seat near the garage-door windows or on one of the two patios - one dog friendly and outdoors while the other smoke free and enclosed during winter. With a recently revamped menu, 3 Crow definitely wins the award for most improved bar food in town. The locally sourced burgers are pretty damn good, with a substantial bun that fits the large (but not ludicrous) burger perfectly. A variety of topping combinations are available, but we're partial to the East Sider - bacon, aged cheddar, barbecue aioli, romaine and one giant onion ring. The bar features a well-chosen selection of draft beers and two-for-one Wednesday nights and Sundays (all day). If you're not messing around, though, go with the signature Bushwhacker, a boozy milkshake that's perfect for those godforsaken 90-degree Nashville summer days. Be warned: It's a lot more potent than it tastes initially. The uninitiated might want to go with the smaller size (the "wee whacker," if you will). Full bar. Admission age 21 and over since smoking is allowed. Serving lunch and dinner until late night (until 2 am) daily.
