FEATURES: Entertainment, Kid Friendly, Patio Seating, Smoke Free, Vegetarian Friendly, Handicap Access, Wi-Fi
DETAILS
Other than the waffle and mini-hamburger chains, Nashville doesn't claim many 24-hour coffeehouses and diners. Midtown's Cafe Coco is a loose but lovable exception. With its front-and-back patios and ramshackle furnishings, this is an all-ages, Wi-Fi-wired coffeehouse/bar like you'd find in Austin, Seattle and other cities with a healthy population of the underemployed and/or overly caffeinated. That said, a Sunday breakfast finds families happily munching massive bagel sandwiches alongside bikers fueling themselves for a drive on their Harleys. Besides the usual all-day coffee offerings, breakfast choices include an array of egg dishes and bagel sandwiches. A hummus plate, chicken wings and a spinach artichoke dip reign as appetizers. Various soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, personal pizzas and grilled Italian sandwiches are offered on the main menu. Service can be less than spectacular, but if you wanted quick instead of leisurely you should have gone to the Waffle House. Live music nightly at the separate back bar and stage, often with no cover charge. A full array of beer, both draft and bottled, is available. Live music nightly. Beer available. Open 24 hours daily.
