DESCRIPTION
Featuring the best skillet-fried chicken in Nashville, Monell's offers Southern-style food meant for comfort. Michael King opened the flagship restaurant in 1995 in a stately, restored Victorian house in the Germantown neighborhood. In August 2009 he added Cafe Monell's on Bransford Avenue in Berry Hill. The cafe offers daily meat-and-three plates, available to go, with the famed skillet-fried chicken always on the menu, and with daily specials such as chicken and dumplings, meat loaf, pot roast, fried catfish and pulled pork barbecue.
