Revived by owner Berenice Denton as the savory housemate to Lorie Burcham's Crumb de la Crumb cake bakery, Bellevue's The Cottage Cafe does a fine job with Southern cafe specialties such as house-made chicken salad, grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches, quiche, soups, salads and sweet stuff such as three-layer strawberry cake and fudge pie. The vanilla bean lemonade and fruit tea are standouts.
