LocalEats Demos' in Nashville restaurant pic

Demos'

Average Cost: $$

Phone: 615-256-4655

Categories: American Traditional , Italian , Steak , Burgers , Sandwiches

Features: Full Bar , Handicap Access , Kid Friendly , Smoke Free , Vegetarian Friendly

Family-owned and-operated by second-generation restaurateur Jim and Doris Demos, Demos' Steak and Spaghetti House first opened in nearby Murfreesboro in 1989 and expanded to downtown Nashville three years later, before adding spots in Hendersonville and Lebanon. Demos' rarely garners mention from restaurant critics and foodies but has admirably captured more than its fair share of the family-oriented, full-service casual dining niche once dominated by now-struggling national chains. Jim and Doris Demos are semi-retired but son Peter and daughter Felicia, both of whom started in the business at age 12, run the show now. The Demos' secret lies in prompt, efficient service and a value-priced American-Italian menu that features the ever-popular combo of steak and pasta, with seafood and chicken dish also available. We'd most recommend the namesake spaghetti, which can be ordered with any number of sauces and is offered as a side with most entrées. Kids' menu. A limited selection of wine, beer and liquor available. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
