Longtime takeout and dine-in staple of the historic Arcade retail promenade in downtown Nashville, The Greek Touch features expertly prepared and bargain-priced Greek specialties such as gyros (sandwich or platter), souvlaki (marinated beef tips), chicken divine (marinated chicken tenders), spanakopita (spinach pie), Greek salads and sweet triangles of baklava for dessert. Established in 1992, The Greek Touch also does a fine job with other takeout staples that originated in Europe but have long since been adopted by American diners. As such, the grill invariably sports a pile of onions and peppers sizzling alongside Polish and Italian sausages. Not to forget the Greek Touch Burger, one of downtown's most storied sandwiches. Consumer tip: Arriving anytime close to noon likely guarantees you won't get a seat.
