DETAILS
After making a winning team at Eastland Cafe, talented Executive Chef/Owner Hal Holden-Bache and personable general manager Cara Graham have quickly established East Nashville's latest culinary darling since opening Lockeland Table in August 2012. As such you'd be wise to call ahead for reservations waaay ahead of time for the chance to dine on contemporary comfort food in the rustic, friendly environment of a restored soda shop in the residential part of Woodland Street. Holden-Bache's menu reflects the seasons and locally sourced ingredients. Early highlights include: must-order chicken liver pate served in a small Mason jar; roasted bone marrow with toasted Tuscan bread; roasted chicken with pepper jam; bone-in pork loin with cheddar mac and cheese and braised greens; and any of the wood-fired pizzas, starting with a splendid margherita version. The welcoming curved bar hosts happy hour specials each early evening, with hand-crafted cocktails a specialty. Kids' menu. Full bar. Serving dinner Mon-Sat. Closed Sun. "Fans of Eastland Cafe, née Chapel Bistro, will recognize the easygoing sophistication of Chef Hal Holden-Bache's repertoire. Toting an extensive résumé that winds from The Greenbrier resort and Chef Tom Colicchio's kitchen to Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel, Holden-Bache teamed up with former Eastland colleague Cara Graham to open Lockeland Table this fall. The reception has been warm, to say the least."
— Carrington Fox, Nashville Scene, Nov. 22, 2012

"The menu is fresh, reflecting Holden-Bache’s interest in classic and rustic melds, regionally rooted dishes and global tastes: eclectic comforts."
— Nancy Vienneau, for The Tennessean, Oct. 5, 2012
