PS Noodle Pot

Average Cost: $$

Phone: 615-445-4990

Categories: Asian Fusion , Noodle House , Thai

Features: BYOB , Handicap Access , Kid Friendly , Smoke Free , Vegetarian Friendly

Owner Inpeng "Peng" Soumpholphakdy has transformed her former Rice Bowl restaurant into an Asian Fusion restaurant called P.S. Noodle Pot that has local restaurant critics and bloggers singing its praises and hoping the world doesn't notice. (Fat chance!) Interestingly subtitled International House of Asian, the restaurant is located in the Antioch neighborhood near the remnants of Hickory Hollow Mall. As befits its title, the house specialties are noodle and tofu dishes served in clay pots, with ubiquitous Thai specialty pad thai among the menu highlights. The som tum (papaya-tomato salad) also has drawn raves. Much to the delight of local vegetarians, brown rice is offered with the entrées and as a side. "Noodles are the star here, and the menu stays in theme while moving across Asia from Vietnam (pho) to Thailand (pad Thai) China (lo-mein) Laos (bee boun) and Japan (ramen)."
- Nashville Restaurants blog, June 7, 2009
Beer available. BYOB for wine, although be warned that P.S. has no W.G. (wine glasses). Serving lunch and dinner daily.
