DETAILS
Prime 108, the long-awaited restaurant inside downtown Nashville's beautifully restored Union Station Hotel, carries on the fine-dining tradition of its beloved predecessor, Arthur's, which closed in 2005. The hotel's magnificent lobby (with an impossibly tall gold-leaf ceiling, chandeliers and hurricane shutters) should be a mandatory stop for all tourists and townies alike, and the restaurant's stained glass and stone fireplace make it an architectural destination as well. True to its name, Prime 108 focuses on steaks, and they're the top-class cuts expected from the best steak houses in the area. Prime's well-pedigreed chefs also emphasize organic veggies, sustainable seafood and hormone-free meats, which means you'll pay top dollar for what likely will be a most memorable meal. Menu highlights besides the steaks (try the cowboy bone-in rib eye) include Colorado lamb chops, maple-braised pork tenderloin, herb-roasted sea bass and roasted chicken. The more affordable breakfast and lunch standouts include crab cake Benedict and a focaccia panini for breakfast, with prime beef sliders and a duck confit quesadilla for lunch. Full bar. Serving breakfast and lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly. Sat–Sun brunch 6:30 am–1 pm. "Artisanal touches such as organic greens, fine cheeses and carefully sourced meats craft a delightful, if expensive, dining experience three meals a day."
- Gayot
