Old-timey grocery store, meat-and-three and grill by day, supper club with top singer-songwriter talent by night, Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant has a presence in historic downtown Franklin and downtown Nashville as well as at the longstanding location in Leiper's Fork. According to present owner Andy Marshall, the original Leiper's Fork grocery was opened in about 1950 by brothers named Puckett, and not much has changed in the look and feel of the place ever since. A solid country breakfast is offered at all three locations each morning. Burgers, pulled pork shoulder and some very respectable pork ribs are worthy companions to the solid meat-and-three offerings during lunch and dinner. And definitely try the signature fried green beans as a side or appetizer.
"Get a Bloody Mary with that breakfast or a small batch bourbon with that burger - it makes Puckett's downtown a nice option for tourist, transplant and native alike."
