Without question the most authentic of Nashville's time-honored downtown honky-tonks these days, Robert's Western World features expertly played stone-cold traditional country music seven days and nights a week. And while music's the thing here on Lower Broadway, Robert's short-order cooks make a pretty mean cheeseburger and a small list of other bar food staples. We'd also recommend the chili cheese fries, from the bottom of our obligatory can of ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon. And who doesn't need a fried bologna sandwich at 1 in the morning? Never a cover charge, but please be generous when the tip jar comes around for the band. Named one of Esquire magazine's Best Bars in America several years ago. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner until late night daily. "Order the Recession Special: a fried bologna sandwich, a bag of chips, a Moon Pie and a cold PBR."
