From the restaurant's website:

"Red Fish Grill is an award-winning casual New Orleans seafood restaurant located at the gateway to the French Quarter at 115 Bourbon Street, just one block off Canal Street. Because the retail stores were closed in the evenings, the 100 block of Bourbon Street became a dark and unappealing gateway into the French Quarter. Ralph Brennan was a pioneer in revitalizing the first block of Bourbon Street, and the 19th Century building that houses Red Fish Grill has been praised as one of the finest renovations in the French Quarter history! Located at the gateway to Bourbon Street, Red Fish Grill sets the tone for your entire French Quarter experience."

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.

The Times-Picayune: Top 100 Restaurant, 2010

Zagat 2011: 22 food rating (very good to excellent)

The New Orleans Menu by Tom Fitzmorris: *** (worth crossing town for)

"Red Fish Grill serves oysters on the half shell and seafood specialties including several redfish entrees. Hickory-grilled Gulf fish is served with Pontalba potatoes, jumbo lump crabmeat and lemon butter sauce. Barbecue oysters are flash fried, tossed in Crystal barbecue sauce and served with blue cheese dressing."

"All the fish is fresh and local, which is more of a rarity these days than one might imagine. The cooking style leans more heavily on updated version of very old dishes than most places, and they pull these off well. The grilling is done deftly, with a generous application of Creole seasonings throughout."
