DETAILS

Consistently ranked among the nation's top steak houses, Charley's Steak House remains the cornerstone venture of local, family-owned Talk of the Town Restaurant Group. The several Central Florida locations boast individual ambience, but each uses the same painstaking preparation of beef-derived from an old Seminole Indian method-aging cuts for up to six weeks, then hand-seasoning and cooking them over the open flame of a custom-built wood-burning grill. The result? Some of the finest 2- to 3-inch thick filets, porterhouses and New York strips in the state. The signature Ultimate Surf and Turf, a whopping 50-ounce filet with a 2-pound Australian lobster tail to boot, may be one of the largest dishes anywhere.

Full bar. Serving dinner nightly.

"Start the evening off with a classic jumbo lump crab cocktail or the Gorgonzola fondue with portobello mushrooms."- Gayot
