Best Chinese

Fabulous Chinese is easy to find at Sesame Inn, one of Pittsburgh’s best and oldest Chinese restaurants. First opened in 1980 and now with several area locations, Sesame Inn boasts a huge, varied menu. Favored appetizers include fried dumplings, sesame cold noodles, and the Pu Pu platter for two. Or start with soups such as the chicken velvet corn soup or hot and sour soup. Entrée favorites include Amazing Chicken and Honey Moon Duck (roasted and basted with a honey sauce).

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.

"Sesame Inn has everything we love about Chinese restaurants: the tea so dark it tastes black, dishes whose names could not be less appetizing — "Dried sauteed string beans" — but whose execution could not be tastier."
– Marty Levine, Pittsburgh City Paper
