Lemon artichoke soup and grilled chicken Marsala are among the favorites at Pittsfield's Hicks & McCarthy, first established in 1913 and revived under new ownership.

"The best entrée of the evening was the Grilled Chicken Marsala ($15). The airline chicken breast, a boneless chicken breast with skin and part of the wing attached, was moister and more flavorful than the ubiquitous skinless ones. It was served with rice and perfectly grilled asparagus, all in a pool of Marsala sauce redolent with its namesake wine."
— Tracy Schuhmacher, Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, June 28, 2012
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Live jazz Sat. Beer and wine available. Serving breakfast and brunch-lunch daily, dinner Mon–Sat. Afternoon tea 3–5 pm Thu–Sat, reservations required.
