A bit of glam in laid-back Portland, Saucebox combines top-quality Pan-Asian cuisine with a bar scene that features a late-night DJ and a slew of signature cocktails. You're greeted by a canopy of bamboo before entering the restaurant, and once you're inside, three-dimensional artwork practically writhes with the music. An extensive Thai- and Korean-influenced menu features local fish, meat and organic produce. Ages 21 and up after 10 pm when the DJs start. "Small plates include chewy tapioca dumplings stuffed with chicken and peanuts, plus the unusual rice cracker-crusted seared tuna. We also recommend the Korean-style baby-back ribs, and the fish and seafood dishes, such as halibut with yellow pepper and fennel fondue."
