Best Asian Fusion

A bit of glam in laid-back Portland, Saucebox combines top-quality Pan-Asian cuisine with a bar scene that features a late-night DJ and a slew of signature cocktails. You're greeted by a canopy of bamboo before entering the restaurant, and once you're inside, three-dimensional artwork practically writhes with the music. An extensive Thai- and Korean-influenced menu features local fish, meat and organic produce. Ages 21 and up after 10 pm when the DJs start.

Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving dinner nightly. Lounge (featuring a café menu) serving late-night nightly.

"Small plates include chewy tapioca dumplings stuffed with chicken and peanuts, plus the unusual rice cracker-crusted seared tuna. We also recommend the Korean-style baby-back ribs, and the fish and seafood dishes, such as halibut with yellow pepper and fennel fondue."
