From its birth more than 30 years ago, Cheesy Eddie's bakery began as one of Rochester’s best-kept secrets, churning out cheesecakes from a small storefront on Monroe Avenue. These days, it ships the famed cakes all over the world, thanks to a popular online and mail order service. Cheesy Eddie’s cheesecakes come in four sizes and more than 15 flavors, including chocolate and vanilla marble, raspberry swirl, chocolate amaretto and lemon. Besides cheesecakes, other delicacies include carrot cake, very chocolate cake and the orange brandy torte. In the morning, there’s an assortment of fresh Danish, muffins and scones in addition to several varieties of cookies and brownies. Sweets can be taken to go or enjoyed in the small, simply decorated café.

 

No alcohol available. Open 8 am–6 pm Mon–Fri, 9 am–4 pm Sat. Closed Sun.
