Located in the historic Omni La Mansión del Rio hotel along the River Walk, Las Canarias derives its name from the 1731 band of Canary Islanders, who were integral in the founding of San Antonio. Experience the elegant yet relaxed Spanish-inspired ambience in the two-tiered dining room or on the outdoor patio overlooking the river under the shade of palms. Dishes from Executive Chef John Brand have included chateaubriand of beef tenderloin, duck leg confit, braised beef short rib, and Pacific sturgeon with littleneck clams. The Sunday champagne brunch remains a favorite for tourists and locals alike, featuring a large selection of meat carvings, Texas cheeses, omelets, Belgian waffles, shucked oysters and crab claws, with bananas Foster and cherries jubilee for dessert.  Kids' menu. Full bar. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Sun champagne brunch 10 am–2 pm.
