The Field Irish bar and restaurant is indeed an authentic, century-old Irish bar and restaurant, shipped piece by piece from the Old Country and relocated in San Diego's historic Gaslight Quarter. In addition to the fabulous, well-stocked bar and live Irish music, The Field really shines in the kitchen as well. Signature dishes include Guinness beef stew, shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fish and chips. Start with house-made potato chips, sausage rolls or steamed mussels. Burgers and corned beef sandwiches rule at lunchtime. Try bread pudding or the apple crumble for dessert. On Saturdays and Sundays, a traditional Irish breakfast/brunch features Irish pork sausage, black and white pudding, eggs, fried potatoes and Irish soda bread or wheaten bread.
Live music. Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Sat–Sun breakfast-brunch 9 am–1 pm. Late-night Fri–Sat.
