Constructed about the same time as the neighboring Golden Gate Bridge, Mill Valley’s Buckeye Roadhouse has been a favorite fill-up for locals and tourists alike since 1937. The ski lodge interior, complete with roaring fire, offers a cozy setting for Bay Area residents to enjoy a creative cocktail or fine wine with some belly-warming, gourmet comfort food. From prime steaks, Dungeness crab cakes and baby back ribs to mushroom lasagna and braised lamb shank, the something-for-everyone menu highlights the best of traditional American cuisine. The popular Sunday brunch is a gastronomic hit with the likes of smoked barbecue hash, ahi Benedict and brioche French toast.

Full bar. Coffee and espresso drinks, juice, and pastries available Mon–Fri beginning 6 am. Serving lunch Mon–Sat, dinner daily. Sun brunch 10:30 am–3 pm.

"Don’t miss Marin's most delicate onion strings or Oysters Bingo, the Buckeye’s plush, indulgent one-upmanship on Oysters Rockefeller, and try the cool, tangy lemon pudding cake dessert."
