Many say that Nob Hill’s renowned French gourmet mainstay Fleur de Lys emerged better than ever from a 2001 fire that could have destroyed this local institution. A 10-month rehab restored one of the most romantic dining rooms in San Francisco, making it even more opulent and breathtaking. Three, four or five courses play out in such dishes as pistachio-crusted king salmon, foie gras- and truffle-stuffed roasted squab breast and marinated venison loin.
