Phone: 415-974-5599

Categories: Contemporary , Bistro

Features: Handicap Access , Smoke Free , Vegetarian Friendly

From the restaurant's website:

"Marlowe is a market-driven neighborhood bistro. Bright and bold flavors from a three-star chef and a little family history created this SoMa favorite. Marlowe was created by restaurateur Anna Weinberg along with a few partners and pals."

Reservations suggested. Beer and wine available. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.

"Chalkboard sketches of farm animals overlook the entrance, and butcher paper, inscribed with the day’s specials, hangs astride the dining room. For this subtly themed setting, chef Jennifer Puccio has concocted a menu with the city’s carnivores in mind. Riffing on the classics, the chef roasts marrow bones and lightens their fatty cargo with a piquant salsa verde. Steak frites and steak tartare are both in fine form.
