From the restaurant's website:
"We are welcoming back our faithful customers following a major renovation and remodeling. Under the new management by Lori's Diner International, the San Francisco tradition lives on! ... The Sears opened in 1938 at Powell and Sutter Streets. As legend goes, Ben Sears was a retired circus clown whose wife, Hilbur, inherited a Swedish pancake recipe. The airy, dollar-size cakes quickly became the enduring centerpiece of Sears' home-style menu."

Full bar. Serving breakfast (until 3:30 pm), lunch and dinner 6:30 am-10:30 pm daily.

"And so does the menu, which is long and predictable. Though Sears also serves lunch and now, thanks to [owner Man J.] Kim, dinner, breakfast is the main draw."
